Construction Loans
Deciding to build your own home is a major financial decision - one that can yield rewards year after year. At Peoples Bank of the South, we offer Construction Loans that can assist you in a quality-building program. Peoples Bank of the South loan officers have developed a step-by-step process that helps assure:
- that you have a quality building program,
- that the program is as orderly as possible,
- and that you have no surprises.
We have a flexible draw policy and not all our loans are with licensed builders. After a careful review, we do fund projects for non-licensed builders.
Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program
Our institution has chosen NOT to participate in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Our customers with non-interest bearing transaction accounts will continue to be insured through December 31,2013 for up to $250,000 under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. Not one penny of insured deposits has ever been lost by a customer of a federally insured bank. Only federally insured institutions can make this statement, "backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government."
