Remote Deposit Anywhere

Remote Deposit Anywhere (RDA) allows customers to deposit a check anytime and anywhere with the Peoples Bank of the South mobile app. To make a deposit with RDA, simply take a picture of the check and submit it with your app.

Before you use RDA:

  • Customers must be enrolled into online banking. If you are not enrolled, please click here to return to the homepage. Then click on the online banking icon to begin the self-enrollment process.

  • The Peoples Bank of the South app can be found in the Apple App Store® and the Google PlayTM Store. Android devices must be running app versions 3.21 or greater to use RDA. iOS devices must be running app versions 3.18 or greater to use RDA.

How to register for RDA:

1. Log into the Peoples Bank of the South app.

2. Choose "Deposits" from the menu.

3. Enter your first and last name, and confirm your email address. Click "Continue".

4. Select the accounts in which you will be making deposits. You may choose more than one. Click "Done".

5. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and click "Continue".

6. A confirmation message will appear. Click "OK".

How to use RDA:

1. Log into the Peoples Bank of the South app.

2. Choose "Deposits" from the menu.

3. Select "Deposit a Check"

4. Touch the box that says "Check Front" to take a picture of the front of the check. Do the same for the back of the check.

5. Enter the amount of the check in the appropriate box.

6. Choose which account in which to deposit the check.

7. Finally, touch the "Deposit" button.

2. Are there any fees?

There are no fees for using RDA.

3. How soon will the funds become available?

In most cases, funds receive next day availability.

4. How do I endorse the check?

The payee can endorse the check by signing their name on the back of the check, or they can write "For deposit only."

5. What do I do with the check after it has been scanned?

After the deposit, store the check in a safe place until you are able to verify it has been deposited. You can verify the deposit by checking your statement or online e-statement. After it has been verified, either write "VOID" across the check or destroy it.

6. How will I know the check has been deposited into my account?

You will receive a confirmation email once you complete the deposit.

7. I already have the Peoples Bank of the South mobile banking app. Do I need to download a new app to use RDA?

No. The RDA feature is included in the same app. To find it, select the "Deposits" tab on the menu.

8. Helpful tips:

-  Use a dark background when taking the picture.

-  Make sure the endorsement is large and clearly written.

-  Use black or blue ink.
