Fraud Alert Regarding Shazam
If our fraud monitoring system, Shazam, was to contact you about a debit card transaction, they will first send a text message. Second, they will send an email if there is no response to the text message. The only time Shazam will call a customer is if the case has been pending for a long period of time, or if the customer has opted out of text messages.
Please be aware our debit card fraud prevention company, Shazam, will never:
- Ask you to provide your full debit card number, PIN, or other sensitive information (ex. expiration date, or CVV).
- Ask you to provide verification codes or one-time passcodes. The only number you will receive text messages from is 72718.
- Ask you to confirm transactions as valid if they are not.
- If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from Shazam and you are unsure if it is legitimate, do not provide any information. Instead, contact the bank at 423-562-4921.
